Terms of Learning

Welcome to Crane School — Your AI literacy mobile school. By accessing or using our interactive lessons, AI sandboxes, and learning tools, you agree to these Terms of Learning.

Effective Date: August 2026 • Platform Creator: Tom Lawrence Odongo
1. Ownership, Creation & Sole Ideation

Crane School is an independent digital learning platform conceived, designed, engineered, and published by Tom Lawrence Odongo as a standalone passion project aimed at fostering AI literacy among young scholars and educators.

Creator Background & Context:

Tom Lawrence Odongo is an AI product builder and cybersecurity enthusiast completing an Associate's Degree in Computer Science, with a background in industrial process operations. He specializes in designing production-grade LLM applications that bridge operational technology (OT) with intelligent security solutions. Although not a schoolteacher by profession, Tom created Crane School independently to share practical AI knowledge and empower students looking to build their futures.

All platform software, interface designs, interactive lesson structures, chalkboard companion mockups, and digital badge systems represent the sole ideation and intellectual property of Tom Lawrence Odongo.

2. Accreditation Status & Collaborative Vision
  • Pilot & Self-Guided Nature: Crane School is an independent, non-accredited educational software application. It does not issue official government-recognized diplomas, academic degrees, or national examination credit.
  • No Governmental Body Affiliation: The platform is currently not accredited by, formally connected to, or operated by the Ministry of Education & Sports or any official government agency.
  • Future Partnerships: The creator actively welcomes future collaborative dialogues with educational institutions, non-governmental organizations, and ministry stakeholders to explore formal accreditation, school rollouts, and pilot expansions.
3. Code of Conduct & Responsible AI Usage

Students, teachers, and pilot testers are expected to uphold ethical digital citizenship standards when using Crane School:

  • Ethical AI Engagement: Use the AI Sandbox and Lesson Planner as study tools. Do not attempt prompt injection attacks, system bypasses, or malicious inputs.
  • Respectful Collaboration: Maintain polite, constructive communication when interacting with class support groups, peer rosters, or teacher feedback consoles.
  • Original Capstone Portfolios: Secondary track capstone submissions (Senior 4 & Senior 6) must reflect genuine student problem-solving and original design efforts.
4. Limitation of Liability & Service Continuity

Crane School is provided on an "AS-IS" and "AS-AVAILABLE" basis for exploratory learning and pilot testing. While every effort is made to ensure zero-downtime offline functionality and high accuracy in AI-generated lesson content:

  • The platform creator assumes no liability for AI model hallucinations, temporary network unavailability, or errors in user-generated inputs.
  • AI-generated suggestions (e.g., agricultural or healthcare concepts in lesson exercises) are for academic demonstration only and should not replace professional medical, veterinary, or agricultural advice.
